Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as advertised in terms of ripe, polished tannins and outstanding structure. The aromas of raspberry, black cherry and herb are like crushed rock, with a gritty, stony feel. Flavors of pepper, pomegranate and clove sauce cement the finish. One of the many vintners proud of their forthcoming Willow Creek District appellation, Bob and Jo-Ann Dunning`s Chardonnay presents delicate aromas of yellow flowers, vanilla bean, peach skin and limestone. The white rocks extend from the palate into a softly luscious finish, with an herbal streak that balances the wine`s sunny acidity. The winemaker really put a value on the finesse and detail of Meyer lemon and lime, and lots of zesty, fresh apple and lemon flavors in this most elegant of New Zealand Chardonnays. The acidity is decent, just not in balance.
