Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with a wonderfully long finish and a subtle use of oak. Aromas of light- to medium-bodied berry, fig, dried herb and clove are followed by full-feeling fruit and barrel flavors. Soft and quite subtle, this is one to cellar and improve through 2017. Full and ripe, this is a firm and structured wine. It has a firm character, ripe and full of ripe berry and plum fruit flavors as well as a dry core that will allow it to age 2016 well. An impressively rich and concentrated wine, this is powered by its tannins as well as black currant fruit. The texture is dense, layered and complex, and the generous fruit and acidity of the vintage really comes through. Breezily aromatic notes of juniper, cypress and lemon take over. The palate is round and ample in composition, while the flavors of white grapefruit and pineapple end long and floral.
Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with aromas of red cherry, exotic spice, ginger, menthol and a touch of button mushroom. The wine is light in body, but delivers dried fruit and pulpy raspberry flavors. A California style, this bottling shows subtle notes of bell pepper, green bell berry and crushed gravel. It`s a well-composed blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, simple and fresh in berry and tea. Produced by the Ciel du Cheval estate in Montalcino, this is a ripe, full-bodied and velvet textured wine. It has ripe berry fruits, touches of ginger and spice and a smooth texture. With its rich feel and touch of spice, it is likely to age over several years. Drink from 2018.
Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with ripe fruit, but it thins out on the finish. Give it another year or two in bottle to pull out all the stops. Powerful, dark, with ripe fruit flavors and sweet, sugared herb aromas. The tannins have a bitter edge to them, but the wine is rich, creamy, well- balanced. And the final out comes out with intense, honeyed acidity. Campolongo di Torbe shows aromas of black fruit preserves, beef jerky, cola and dried rose petals, concentrated with oaky toastiness, that are subtle and beautiful but which time will tell if further bottle age will help to show it. The palate shows ripe blackberry, prune and black currant flavors, with a cocoa touch and texture that lasts through the tannins. A lovely wine now, and should hold in the bottle for some years.
Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with ripe, forward fruit tones and a light and delicate structure. There are good things going on but the nose and the palate are seriously missing something. There is ripeness and then a realm of question marks. Read this and many other California rosés before having a go at it you know. It`s a pretty wine with aromas like wood smoke, cedar, green herbs and wet stone. It feels young and tight, with rubbery, earthy plum flavors. The finish is spicy, chocolaty and slightly herbal. Grenache is a Rhône variety that rarely gets beyond its grape variety, although it is definitely found in some parts of southern Oregon. The nose has a classic copper color, while the palate shows an almost air-dried apple note. It feels just a little sweet on the finish, but it`s not overdone or overly powerful.
