Wine experts say this Red wine delivers. It`s dry, brisk in acidity and savory, with fully oaked, modern flavors of raspberry and cherry that finish with a touch of smoky oak, butterscotch and firm, dusty tannins. New oak adds smoky char, buttered toast and the reduction wine seems a bit flat. This is a fairly priced vineyard-designated wine that has all the hallmarks of the best 2012 Monastrell. It`s cleanly made, sleek and zesty, offering a bit of spice atop a dry, softly tannic frame. You`ll notice the ripeness of fresh raspberries and the soft application of all five oak varieties. This wine has good acidity and a firm, dry texture. It is still very young, still bursting with fruit, so wait until late 2016 to drink. For the price, this is a good investment in a dry style of wine.
