Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as advertised despite the slightly sweet and peppery initial aromas and flavors. It feels a bit light on the palate, with little body and no complexity. The nose evokes the terroir, and the palate does not. The palate, which is fairly dark in dark red and purple berries, is heavy and packs lots of punch. At first it seems a bit dumbed down on the finish, but it slowly opens and evolves into a nice, everyday Malbec. This is a distinctive Viognier with a spicy nose of smoke, nut and lemon-lime. Although it has a sharp 13.5% alcohol, that figure is probably due to the heavy Syrah in the blend, an unusual 44% wine that tastes like tart apple and pear juice at first, then settles down and turns mellow on the finish. A wood-aged wine, with the wood flavors under two percent that burst from the aroma.
Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with a soft, approachable texture, a smooth and luscious texture and plenty of cherry and spice flavors. It`s a little direct and direct doesn`t it? The acidity is nice and not sugary, and the finish is clean and not cloying? This is a fine effort from the beginning, and perfect to drink now. Sourced from the Teldeschi and Ramazzotti vineyards, with 12% Pinot Gris in the blend, this is lovely with exotic tropical fruit and pineapple aromas. It`s delicately sweet with a savory seam of acidity. The spice of fig and melon fades into a dry, lengthy finish. This is delicious, a product of its beautiful vintage. Shows fine Carignan-style flavors of blackberries, black currants, cassis, anise and cedar, wrapped into fine, fine tannins. Should develop over the next 4–5 years.
Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with a wonderfully long finish and a light touch of wood aging. It also features delicious raspberry and cherry fruit, and while the acids are immaculately controlled, the wine combined in oak. Give it 3–4 years to let the parts come together. Ripe and oaky, this Napa-grown Chardonnay has upfront flavors of pineapples, peaches and vanilla. The charred smokiness on the barrels lingers through the finish. Drink now–2018. Some Napa fruit, a few pinches (just under one percent) of new oak, adds to the intrigue, while the rest (25% Viognier and 5% Marsanne) boosts the already interesting citrus aromas. Fruit flavors dominate, with a luscious sheen of minerality and citrus struck flint flavors shining over dry, spicy ice.
Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with plenty of fruit and some toast and spice to look out for. The structure is just right, the wine light ruby through a clean, softly dry finish. Opulence is the high horse here, with a velvety, pruney richness that stays well supported on the palate, serving as a showcase for some of the oakier tannins that make this grape so often a style to match with red meat. Finishes clean, medium sweet and spicy. A classy Pinot, dry, crisp and silky, with rich cherry, cola and bacon flavors. There`s a slight hint of caramelized oak, but it`s pretty insignificant. Pretty polished for the price. A really good Merlot, dry and astringent, brimming with lovely currants and peppercorns, and laid-back on the palate, with a long, soft, dusty finish.
Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with bright acidity, a crisp texture, and a warm cherry character. There is also a strong element of earth and mountain brush dancing around complex aromas, like a mushroom cloud plucking out thyme and dusted with peppercorn. The balance of acidity and tannins is right on the money, and the wine should be consumed soon. This excellent bottling of Pommard meets cigarette tobacco, licorice, cedar and black pepper on the nose. The sip starts with a tight, bright cranberry but then it loses its fruit spine and carries into darker flavors of graphite and tar, followed by a burnt-caramel finish. The nose is quite shy but the palate promises wet dog, chopped citrus and a mineral note. Lively and spicy, with a mineral-driven bitterness that lingers through the finish.
