Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with a creamy mousse and strong acidity. But the French oak seems a bit out-dated. At one moment there is weight but at another there is an unabsorbed sweetness that almost tastes chunky. For now there is great liveliness and sumptuous fruit. Named after the 13th-century house at the center of the estate, this wine is big, but its big-arm flavor is well balanced. Its richness is balanced by the ripe berry fruits and final citrus acidity. This is one of the rare white wines that can be drunk young. Aromas of cherry, vanilla and a green note of powdered sage carry over to the rounded palate. It has a nice balance of fruit and savory flavors. It`s a first wave, so don`t expect too much complexity.
Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with plenty of forward fruit and some moderate tannins. The blend is 50% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc. The Cabernet fruit is fairly large, almost too big for Riesling, and some funky green notes pick up hints of green plum and bell pepper. There`s plenty of acid for balance, and some sharpness on the midpalate. Drink now–2012. A fruity wine, showing simple pineapple, lemon and apple flavors laced with spice and a mineral texture. There is a stucture in the fruit that gives the wine a final lift.Angular in character, it is tightly wound with acidity. The 2004 and 2005 vintages of this wine were very kind to the houses in the heart of the appellation, the wines are elaborate and thick with baked earth and spice aromas and flavors.
Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with rich fruit and some oak-tinged smokiness to the underlying red berry. There are subtlety and the wine does finish dry, but the drying properties suggest it will be better in a few years. A well-judged, well-structured wine, this carries its talcumulated texture like a bow of powerful bow ties. The flavors include dark chocolate, cedar, herb, olive and peppercorn, with a brooding elegance rare in reds from this appellation. This is a big wine, but not overtly over the top. A restrained and taut wine, with sonorous and spicy aromas, this tastes mature, herbal and brimming with green apple and melon. The flavors are fresh and nicely cut with acidity. The style is more herbal, green, then meaty, and the finish lingers. Very crisp and light.
