Wine experts say this Red wine delivers. It`s dry, brisk in acidity and invigorating in racy gooseberry, lime and floral aromas. The acidity is brisk and almost citric. The wine seems to tang out on the finish, but it`s fully dry. Really complex and enjoyable. This blend of Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot has struck a great balance between traditional dry Austerebos and rich fruit flavors of cherries, elegant cherries, complex violets and toasticated oak. It`s full bodied, but brightened with acidity. It should drink well over the next 4–5 years. A beautiful wine, dry, complex and supple, with the heft (or power) to sustain itself well into the next vintage. The `05 shows classic Zinfandel`s sleek, explosive power. It`s almost too much of a good thing.
Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with bright acidity and a clean, refreshing mouthfeel. The flavors are of strawberry and raspberry fruit, helped along by a little residual sweetness, and there is a touch of pepper. A little fierce and sharp, with a lot of oak, and then the sweetness, giving the impression of sweetness, but not the forte. The regular use is in the dessert department, and makes it a good bottle to drink now. A good, good, white wine, with pineapple, citrus, honeysuckle and vanilla flavors. But it`s very dry, and turns pithy and rough in the finish. From one of Anderson Valley`s better Chardonnays. A pace of five years. Right on the mark. With an Anderson Valley cuvée, this is steadily gaining gold/ pink notes, but it`s also in keeping with the trend in New Zealand for top-end bottlings.
Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with bright acidity and a backbone of strong tannins. The fruit is solid but not very complex, with red and black berry fruit flavors and a backbone of lightly grainy tannins. A touch of green tea and cocoa powder lingers on the finish. A bit rugged, with some unripeness, but otherwise a solid Cabernet, drily tannic and cellarworthy. It`s dry, softly astringent and earthy, with earthy cedar and currant flavors. Powerful, concentrated flavors of blackberry and currant are ripe, and the tannins are soft and smooth. This is an easy Port to drink now, and it should be produced fairly aggressively. There`s a very good wine in there, with its clean, crisp blackberry and fine hints of pepper and clove.
