The wine is, of course, very young, but there`s plenty of underlying grace, with bright red fruit on the finish and a dash of brown sugar. Keep for a year, or drink now. Rounded, ripe and intense, this reserve Chardonnay from Robert Young is loaded with an abundance of barrel-fermented lemons and limes. It`s shuttled along its creamy smoothness and lemony acidity, which makes it completely satisfying. Imported by MW Imports. This cool-climate Vieux Lazaret opens with pretty aromas of floral rose, violet, tobacco and crushed herb. It brings a very pretty touch of fresh fruit into the party. Young and vibrant, this is a wine with fresh, tight character.
Wine experts say this Red wine is the epitome of a Napa Cabernet. Beautiful and balanced, with crisp, tight, fleshy flavors of blackberries, currants and oak. The tannins are just fine, and the finish is Dr. Pepper in style. The winemaker even lent his support. This is a perfectly appealing wine, but a bit too soft for ageability. Try after 2010. Flavors of raspberry and cassis are accented by hints of dusty spice and orange rind.

At this young stage it shows raw and dried herb aromas and flavors with an emphasis on grapefruit and pineapple. There`s a fair amount of pickle barrel spice as well. Keep through the mid-term, if you can keep your hands off it. Intriguing aromas of red berry, rose petal and a thread of cured meat complete the picture. This is a big powerful wine with spicy, almost prickly aromas and a raw, peppery finish.
Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as advertised in terms of ripe, seductive aromas with nectarine, peach and apricot. It`s lean in constitution but in taste with stone fruit and melon fleshiness. The wine shows good length and finishes a bit short with a touch of mineral. A distinctive grassy note of lees and apple-peel intrigue nose on this wine from the appellation`s eastern end, as does ripe white peach, kiwi, chaparral and light marjoram spice. The palate shows the same, with more stone fruit and rounded lemon notes, but the acidity is prickly and the finish dark and peppery. Produced on the producer`s estate Quail Hill Vineyard, this wine is notes individual parcels with notes of herbs, green herbs, olives and red berries. It is lush, full, but finishes with elegance.
