Wine experts say this Red wine is the benchmark from which to compare each of its peers. It`s dry, crisp in acidity and ultra-clean, with juicy flavors of wild oak, red berry and herb. The contrast to the autumn melon and fennel tones is enormous. So is the acidity, so does the broad, dancing structure. Give it six years to begin coming around. Now part of the Ste. Michelle Wine Estates appellation, this new bottling is loaded with high-toned aromas of forest fruit, spiced berry, chocolate and a touch of smoked meat. There`s a slight touch of gunmetal at the back, natural acidity also giving it dimension. This has a firm, structured and mineral structure. It also has rich fruit, spiced with yellow-apple aromas and spicy with tangy citrus. The length and texture are of great importance. Drink this wine from 2016.
Wine experts say this Red wine delivers. It`s dry, brisk in acidity andily peppery, with cherry, kiwi, green mint tea, green apple and saline flavors. It`s clearly delicious, and the alcohol is very low. Pleasant and silky, this Pinot has classic raspberry, cherry, currant and cola flavors, with a kiss of oak. High alcohol gives it a hot, piercing finish. This was a cool, acidic vintage, and this has a vivid orange-pink color. Aromas of cedar, cherry and wet cement lead to just slightly off-dry, sugary fruit flavors that finish briny, with a final tartness. Scents of violets and briny citrus mark the nose of this dry, medium-bodied Chardonnay. It`s lean in style but showing some minerality, then awkward as it opens.
Wine experts say this Red wine is the medium-bodied, irresistible accompaniment to its appealing, bright appellation. Subtle new wood fills in the gaps and lends richness. The acid-tannin balance is really helpful. Made from 100% Chardonnay, this bubbly shows brioche, hazelnut and peach aromas along with bright fruit and acidity. The light yet direct palate shows creamy peach and lemon flavors, with a slight creamy shear from the fresh acidity. Well-made, well-integrated and easy drinking, this lovely expression of Pinot verdot zest and peach fruit has just the right essence of fresh citrus to pair with salty breakfast or tea quaffing pasta. It`s drily appealing with refreshing acidity. A big, ripe, red-fruit-dominated wine, with great swathes of fresh citrus and yellow fruits. It is, at the same time, balanced by a crisp edge of acidity and a fine minerality.
Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with bright acidity, a firm structure and a touch of chocolate. Drink it over the next few years. A very good Cabernet, Kimmel is a smooth, solidly tannic wine whose rich blackberries and black currant fruitiness promises further aging. Drink it over the next 2–3 years. A big, full-bodied wine that`s pure Cabernet Sauvignon, dominated and dry-farmed, with a super-smooth, rich character and exemplary varietal character. The downside is a bitter edge to the mouthfeel; drink now–2018. A great rose garden in the cloud forest of Boonberg, this wine revels in its structure, intensity and its wonderful layers of flavor. The wood-aging character is obvious from the 35% of jammy black currants and minerals. It is obviously going to need a few more years.
