Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with bright acidity, some firm tannins and a taste of red currant and cherry. But for the price, it`s not showing any signs of maturity. A bit hot and heavy, especially for a 2007 Cava. There`s not much fruit character to the cherry pie, berry and cola flavors, but on the quality, with an astringency and biting tannins. Bitter orange rind and wood burn precede a peppery finish. Cherry, raspberry and cola aromas are regular butno different from other Zins released this year. And the palate rings with extracted fruit, but it`s not sour or tart like a Zinfandel. So it`s not even very hard or tannic. And the flavors are thin, like a mixed drink. Made from biodynamically grown grapes, this wine is crushed in a dark, spicy style.
