Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as advertised, with aromas of dark berry and cherry cola set in a modern, sophisticated style. Rich and lush, with a fine structure and a finish that echoes the great 2009 vintage. A really good value. The nose is sweet, smoky and full of strawberries. But the palate is dry and tannic, with some punchy acidity. For the price, you get lots and tons of zest. Drink up. The cool steeped vineyard site above the Lot valley givespsy type of concentration and concentration. The wine, for sure, is very tannic and astringent. Yet it`s very drinkable and fairly balanced, with rich extracted flavors of chocolate, cassis and cherry, with a jacket of sweet, toasty oak. You can certainly drink it now, but the youthful fruit and acids suggest ageability. Give it until mid-2010. Just delicious.
Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with aromas of red cherry, wet slate, dried fruit and ginger. Juicy and vibrant, the mouthfeel has just the right edge of hard tannins to give it appeal. Drink now. Already showing good concentration, this is beginning to develop secondary flavors, such as pomegranate, black plum and raisin. It is rich, but needs time to integrate. Give it until 2015. All five grapes of the blend are Quintessentiallyiovese (a form of white wine with a Central Coast edge), with additions of Petit Verdot and Alicante Bouschet. The Cabernet—which is in the modern cult-style of smooth, creamy, whole-cluster fermented wine—is lush, fruity and pleasant. The addition of Cabernet Sauvignon to the blend gives it complexity and textural weight. Very fine, especially in terms of flavor, and very, very good.
Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as advertised in terms of ripe, seductive tannins and peppery acidity, but lacks the richness needed to maintain or even improve tone. The flavors of raspberry, red currant and cola are sweet, but don`t fall through the floor; the wine is lean and fresh now, so drink up. This blend of 43% Syrah, 31% Mourvèdre and 29% Grenache from the Sierra Foothills tastes of raspberry, cranberry and pencil lead, along with licorice and herbal notes. It`s got grip and a subtle nose, and in the mouth the flavors mirror the fruit, going from red fruit to dry raspberry/cherry and cola. Here`s a good, everyday Chardonnay. It`s full-bodied and oak-driven, with loads of new oak influence, but it tastes as much about fruit and oak as it about winemaking as it about winemaking.
Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with a full-bodied, creamy character and flavors of apple, melon and white currant. Plenty of length and length on the finish, as well a sense of richness and complexity. Drink now. The nose is mildly expressive, but there is roundness to the palate, with white peach, apricot, grapefruit and fennel flavors. An excellent follow-up to the excellent 2006 and 2007. Beautifully intense and elegant, this is a rich and ripe Pinot that`s spiced with flavors of raspberry and cherry jam, and is thick and frothy. The silky texture is very evident, and is a big hit. Has Petite Sirah`s inky, full-bodied smokiness, and is thick and bone-dry, and is rich in luscious white peach, apricot and green melon flavors. But there`s no denying its tannic structure.
