Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with aromas of red cherry, wet slate, dried fruit and ginger. Juicy and vibrant, the mouthfeel has just the right edge of hard tannins to give it appeal. Drink now. Already showing good concentration, this is beginning to develop secondary flavors, such as pomegranate, black plum and raisin. It is rich, but needs time to integrate. Give it until 2015. All five grapes of the blend are Quintessentiallyiovese (a form of white wine with a Central Coast edge), with additions of Petit Verdot and Alicante Bouschet. The Cabernet—which is in the modern cult-style of smooth, creamy, whole-cluster fermented wine—is lush, fruity and pleasant. The addition of Cabernet Sauvignon to the blend gives it complexity and textural weight. Very fine, especially in terms of flavor, and very, very good.
