Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with bright acidity, a firm structure and a perfumed aftertaste. Drink now. A big, heavy Zin made from cherries and spices. If you like the same old techniques, give this one a good decanting, and then try putting it away for a couple more years before drinking. It`s very dry, and is very dry. The malolactic fermentation brings out some richness, but the wine ultimately is saturated and rich, ultimately finishing with mocha and vanilla. Fresh and nicely graphed, this has notes of straw, ripe melon and sweet citrus. The mouthfeel is piercing and spine-like. Slaty minerality frames bold pineapple and lime aromas and flavors in this medium-bodied Pinot Gris. The finish is lively and leaves a lasting, cleansing note in the throat.
Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with a soft, floral, apricot and white peach structure, subtle layers of nut and cardboard, and a finish of tight acidity. The blend is not for aging, so drink now–2025. A darkly delicious Cabernet, rich and spicy and obviously made in the California style, this selection is full and a bit clumsy, not showing the lush flavors and structure of its sweet younger vintages. This has been a good bottling for Brassfield. It shows the house`s style, with upfront, jammy flavors of cherries and blackberries, but lacks the structure of a fine Alexander Valley Cab. Drink now. Almost black in color, this is a concentrated, smoky wine, with a strong blackberry flavor. The wood aging shows through in the wine`s solid tannins. It`s ready to drink, but will be better in 2015. Rich and delicious, this is a lush and concentrated wine.
Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as advertised in this easy, fresh, light wine. It contains plenty of Syrah and some Petite Sirah, which adds balance to the sweet plum fruit. Sweet and full-bodied, it`s a snap to drink now. From the Monforte d`Alba area of Barolo, this is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Velvety red fruit wraps around a firm, over-soft structure. The acidity is relatively low to match the wine`s freshness, and the finish brings in wonderful flavors of violet and honey. Barolo Parafada is a very easy wine to drink with instant appeal. Clean, straightforward berry aromas lead into a wine that`s almost medium in weight and a touch pulpy. Very good, but there`s not a lot of structure or depth to the wine.
