Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with bright, forward fruit and a light touch of oak. There is a sense of a slightly sweet finish. The blend is 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc. A Sauvignon Blanc for aging. That gives a fine, dry wine that is intensely fruity with citrus and white stone fruits, apricots and a piercing acidity. The wine is totally ready to drink. Cool, focused wine with its ripe fruits and still much developing to do. The tannins are almost smooth, giving a complex structure. It does need to age, so don`t drink before 2015. The barnyard from time to time brings me back to the discovery of Tasmania. This is a beautifully ripened wine, rich in ripe red fruit and sultry oak, but also in the way of savory, earthy dishes from chaparral.
