Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with aromas of graphite, cherry, cedar and wet slate. The palate is elegant, with power but not in balance. Oak brings a smoky note to this wine that makes for delicious sip. A well-made, earthy Carignane with a nice mix of plum, earth and olive. The oak comes through on the finish, with a touch of vanilla. Drink this dry wine with fish or chicken. Fresh and reasonably fruity on the nose, but it`s also slightly gritty and tough, making it uncomfortable. The palate offers good balance between flavors of red berries and spice, while the finish makes you sneeze a bit. A simple wine, soft and a little sweet. There`s a cinnamon and raspberry-jamminess that rolls into a clean finish. This tastes like a hot, simple wine, with fruity flavors and an edge of green herbs. There`s a spice, slightly bitter finish.
Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with plenty of forward fruit and some moderate tannins to back it. The flavors are fresh and tangy, with a pleasant overlay of wood and baking spices. A blend of of Arinto and Antão Vaz, this is an intensely fresh wine, full of some acidity but also yellow fruits and a deliciously refreshing aftertaste. The blend, with its herbal character, is likely to develop as it ages. Drink from late 2017. In this inaugural release, winemaker Jacqueline Comart noted that the appellation did not begin with this selection. It is a barrel selection, and the extra barrel is likely to be sediment, but the result is quite pleasing. The wine, which reaches 14.5% alcohol from the residual sugar, is lightly textured, tight and compact, the fruit promising some length or maturity.
Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with ripe fruit and a bright and mature character. There is just a touch of final acidity to give it a final lift. It is a wine for medium-term aging over the next 4–5 years. A bit hard in youth, which is why it`s so tough now. The wine is jammy in prunes and geraniums, with free-run`s of tobacco and acidity. All in a firm frame. Give it 6–7 years, and it could be a good wine. Young and jammy, this has the lovely aromatic tang of raisins and crème de cassis, with zesty lemony freshness. The body is lovely, soft and loaded with flavors of cherries, licorice, orange zest and black pepper, with a touch of leather and tobacco. Lovely now, but so elegant, it will age for 3–5 years. This exuberantly floral, aromatic wine.
Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with aromas of grapefruit pith, peach, and green apple. In the mouth, the wine is good, frothy, and balanced with lithe, pithy flavors and a peachy finish. This is a dry, pleasant Grenache. It has powerful fruit flavors of cherries and raspberries, spiced up by toasty oak, and finishing with a hint of mint and vanilla. A blend of Roussanne, Viognier and Arinto, this is a blend of 58% Sauvignon Blanc with just 19% Sémillon. It`s fruit-driven, with pretty raspberry fruit, and light suggestions of melon, citrus and sweet orange. The oak adds just enough sweetness, and the wine has a polished, seemingly oily character. This Dundee Hills vineyard really shines in 2012, with a dry, dusty style with deep flavors of dried apricots, watermelon and anise.
