Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as advertised in terms of ripe, seductive berry-fruit aromas and vivid, layered fruit flavors. It`s dry, but delivers for the price, with very dry texture, firm tannins and a fast finish. An attractively balanced wine, this is ripe but fresh. The raspberry and red currant flavors are tangy and green, supported by a lightly creamy feel. It is a wine for aging, drink now for its delicacy. Dry and scoury in texture, this blend of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc and 17% Merlot has a rustic, feral quality to its character. The Red Mountain sensibility dominates, with its herbal, mulchy aromas and rooty flavors of tobacco andice. A lusty wine with lots of raw oak and raw fruit flavors. Pure, seductive cassis aromas make this a very polished wine.
Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with ripe black cherry and currant flavors, but it`s balanced by bracing acidity. It has subtle tannins, and it feels snappy on the tongue with acidity. Half Sangiovese and one quarter Merlot, this bold, penetrating wine reveals itself through smoky, slightly stalky aromas. Fruit and barrel flavors show strongly, blending into a more restrained feel among equal components. Inky black-fruit aromas are lively and a bit earthy. This is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Syrah from the same old vineyard site. Roasted, smoky, herbal plum flavors end with hard tannins and a tight acidity. A good example of how well the Central Coast can manage Sparkman`s wines, this one from their longtime regional A.T.A.
Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with tart, penetrating citrus and peach flavors accented by hints of mocha and chopped herbs. It`s medium bodied and refreshing, offering a balance of acidity and weight with a trace of sweet-seared lemon on the finish. This wine is dry, dominated by the new-wood flavors and needs time. However, the wine has a solid core of black currants, dense wood and acidity. It is young, and will be ready to drink from 2018. Fresh, light and fruity this is a deliciously fruity wine. Not just the nectarine and white peach fruits, but also the citrus and green apples of the Côte de Nuits. There is a fresh herbal character that adds a further lift.
Wine experts say this Red wine delivers. It`s dry, brisk in acidity and ultrarefined, offering an array of raspberries, cherries, currants, sandalwood and white pepper flavors. New oak adds smoky, bacon and bacon-sticking qualities, and the alcohol is refreshingly moderate. The grapes come from this Sonoma County appellation, in the western part of the appellation, which is a good place to start. Very delicate, yet so finely extracted, this wine exudes freshness and smells of ripe red cherries, butterscotch and chocolate, brightened by that magical freshness that makes the variety so popular. In the mouth, it`s forward and alive, with a long, spicy finish. It`s dry, but so elegant, so penetrating, you find yourself dancing across the finish. Best after dinner, but perhaps not as long as you`d expect. This full-bodied wine has much of the richness manifested as sweetness.
