Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as advertised at affordable prices. It`s dry, crisp in acidity and ultrarefined, with complex raspberry, citrus, citrus and herb flavors. Shows class for a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, but is bone dry and crisp in acidity. This is a pretty good wine, dry, spicy and full-bodied, but it`s not particularly Cabernet-ish or Napa-ish. It could be Zinfandel or Syrah or anything, with its peppery black currant and mocha flavors. It`s also quite soft. Drink now. Too bad the vineyard owner is pulling out the Sauvignon Blanc, because this is a fresh, vibrant, mouth-filling wine with interesting flavors of raspberries and yeast. It`s snappy and juicy, with an easy-drinking appeal that leaves a good impression.
Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with bright acidity, slightly funky tannins and a solid core of dry tannins. So give it another year and drink with your favorite Chard. A blend of Arinto and Antão Vaz, this is an obviously young wine. That means the nose and palate are now forming, and the black-currant fruit flavors are still subdued by the aggressive texture. It will develop with some time, but drink from 2016. In the past we said the enemy of El Enemigo was too much oak; that heavy oak character persists, but it is more behind the ripe berry aromas, loud acidity and dry tannins. So drink this wine sooner rather than later. Part of this fine estate`s estate blend is made entirely from Chardonnay. In the mouth, it`s clean and sophisticated, with pineapple, orange and yeasty flavors.
