Wine experts say this Red wine delivers as promised, with bright acidity, a crisp texture and a soft, creamy aftertaste. The blend is 50/50 Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. A very dry, somewhatley rustic wine, with a tart, lemony acidity. It follows the dry, fresh Central Coast style, with some big, heavy flavors of cherries, and big tannins. Opens with a warm, baked nose of raisin, black fruit and prune, and while the cassis and blackberry flavors are on the money, the structure is also beginning to show some issues. Finishes rough and slightly herbal. Good, but not going anywhere. A very good wine that completely overpowers the others in its category. It`s uneven in structure, and is unlikely to improve for years, but there`s a decent tannin-acid balance, and the price is right.
